200km above the Arctic Circle nature takes on a new dimension and its sheer size commands attention. Lapland’s vast forests, fells and swamp lands are covered in a thick blanket of snow in December but still with enough daylight to allow breathtaking views and magnificent photographs. The Photography Break was created with the help of a professional photographer’s keen eye and with expert guiding on all activities you are sure to get the perfect shot.
Let the Lappish guides take you through the night, where a clear sky uncovers an unending vista of stars, and on the most special of occasions the greens and purples of the incomparable Northern lights play across the canvas before your very eyes. Even if the Aurora fail to make an appearance our night-time snowmobile and snowshoe safaris will be sure to thrill nonetheless.
The break begins with an introductory seminar on how to use your camera in Arctic and low-light conditions. Dive straight into the adventure on your first evening with your camera at the ready with a night-time snowmobile safari in search of the Northern Lights. The 40km wilderness snowmobile safari and the half day husky safari take you off the beaten track with a chance to glimpse native wildlife and remarkable views. A second night-time safari, this time with snowshoes, offers an entirely different experience. Travelling by foot, the way lit by head torches and the stars, enjoy the silence and take a moment to appreciate the forest surrounding you.
Your own camera is required and a laptop is recommended (our photographer can help you edit your photos).

The small and privately owned Lodge 67̊N is a beautifully decorated hotel, a short walk from the village centre and within 10-15 minutes of all activities. Lodge 67̊N is the prefect base to come back to after a day out in the Arctic North, where you can relax by the fire and wait for the Northern Lights to appear over the fells.
