Our collection of four luxury cabins in Äkäslompolo provides private and peaceful accommodation for groups of 4 to 10 people. Just a few minutes by taxi from the village center, with its shops and cafés, the cabins also offer access to Arctic experiences like husky sledding, snowmobile rides, reindeer excursions, and a private visit to Santa.

Eriklinna Cabin
- 5 bedrooms, sleeps up to 10.

Although your itinerary includes many activities you may wish to try some optionals.

Searching for perch with snowshoes

Ice fishing, or as they say pilkki in Finland, is a popular national hobby. On this ice fishing adventure, you’ll head to Lake Äkäslompolo, located in the heart of the village. Once you arrive, you’ll put on snowshoes and search for the perfect fishing spot. After drilling holes in the ice, you’ll sit back and see which bait brings the best catch—grubs or worms. Throughout the trip, you’ll enjoy a warm cup of hot berry juice.

Reindeer ride to the Wilderness

You’ll take a short 20-minute drive to meet the reindeer, those adorable, half-wild creatures of the north. Once the reindeer are harnessed, you’ll settle into sleighs and wrap yourself in cozy blankets. The three-kilometre ride will take you through the pristine wilderness of Lapland, allowing you to soak in the magical tranquility of the forest.

After a half-hour ride, you’ll enjoy homemade berry juice by an open fire inside a traditional Lappish tepee, or kota, while hearing stories about the reindeer and their yearly cycle of life. You’ll also have the chance to take photos with your Arctic traveling companion

Cross country skiing school for families

You’ll start the tour by selecting your ski equipment. The instructor will first demonstrate the basic techniques of cross-country skiing, and then you’ll practice on a flat surface. Once you’re comfortable with the basics, you’ll head out for a short trip on the groomed skiing tracks.

infant price is from £250 depending on the date of departure. Infant price applies to infants between 0-23 months at the time of travel. Please note that infants do not count towards the number of persons sharing.
child prices are for children aged between 2 and 11 years at the time of travel.

we do not recommend that children under 6 months travel to Lapland. Please note that participation in safaris for children between the ages of 6 months and 2 years is weather dependent and will be up to the discretion of the local guides who will assess the safety of the activity at the time. If the infant cannot part-take in a safari, one adult will need to stay behind with them. Infants can still participate in the Santa activity day and visit Santa.
